As a manager, with a DevOps background and cloud knowledge, I’m very versatile and can help in many ways across the whole engineering department. Currently, I take care of frontend, backend and QA, with oversight of mobile and security development. Being a VP of Engineering at Spaceflow, it’s my job to take care of our people, teams and technology which is the backbone of the company.
After university, I started a long stretch of technological companies and many different management and tech positions. My drive and motivation were always to try as many things as I can find my passion for, be it engineering, cloud technology or consulting as a freelancer. Or even sales for quite some time, where I learned how important customer-centricity and focus on business values is. Every experience also helped me to become the VP of Engineering at Spaceflow. The job title might sound fancy but it's all about helping our teams be the pioneers of the smart real estate market, overcome blockers and push the technology and people forward, toward company and personal growth.
And what is Spaceflow all about?
We’re at the forefront of the ‘space as a service’ (SPaaS) movement. It connects landlords and tenants in a single digital platform and provides one-click access to building services and amenities. For me, it’s all about building an engineering organization strongly focused on its people and product delivery.
Besides Spaceflow I also work as an engineering consultant while helping the startups or mid-sized companies with their cloud and engineering setup. We can talk about strategies, use-cases, product development or just go for coffee to discuss different leadership approaches. Most importantly, every project gives me valuable experience and knowledge that fuels my drive forward. It's always about the people and projects first and foremost.
